About the Tarts:
Elizabeth:
Growing up in a family of eleven children, learning to cook equaled survival. Learning to bake, on the other hand, provided one with the valuable “favored sibling” status within the ranks. Therefore, it only stands to reason that our entire family bakes amazingly well, and many of us have, at one point or another, baked for a living. I seemed to have concentrated on cookies more than other forms of pastry, and, over the years, have continued to parlay my baking into various positions of favor (favorite employee, favorite co-worker, favorite friend, etc.) Although I was trained professionally at the CIA in Hyde Park New York, practical experience and an incessant need to be a “people pleaser” seem to have played a more substantial role in my culinary acumen.
Anna:
"Saying no to me is like saying "sick-um!" to a bulldog…" famous words from Anna's Grandfather
Wonder where Anna got her sales chops? Seems genetically linked to me. Sweet as sugar, and smart to boot, Anna spent eight years peddling drugs as a pharmaceutical rep. She was successful, to say the least, but somehow selling cookies seemed a bit more appealing…After all, how nice is it to be able to (legally) sample your own product? When she's not out converting the masses to the "Two Tarts Cookie Doctrine," Anna spends her free hours on the pool deck, coaching Lincoln High water polo.
